The White Man’s Burden - This poem was an expression of how white, civilized people were superior than the indigenous people in Africa. It was the white mans job to guide the “savages”, according to Rudyard Kipling.

Suez Canal - The Suez canal is a waterway built by Africans during Imperialism. It was created to make it easier for the English to trade and go back and forth. This canal brought Europe much profit. The Suez Canal connects the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea.
